Wilton is a growing village located conveniently near the M5 expressway and with easy access to the Hume Highway off ramps. It proves very popular with young families seeking either a country lifestyle or residents who must commute to the city.

The Wollondilly Shire Council and the NSW State Government are in the planning stages of
a new suburb, Wilton Junction, to the south-east of Picton. This $7 billion development is expected to see 11,000 jobs in the area resulting from the construction of new dwellings and facilities, and a population increase of 35,000 in the council region over the next 30 years (as at 2015).
Wilton is surrounded by many varied farming allotments while incorporating residential living closer to the local shopping centre.  It has become home to the ‘Bingara Housing Estate’ and is well known as an exclusive destination with a world class Golf Course currently under construction.  The area attracts many visitors to the nearby dams and to the popular Sydney Skydiving Centre (to the west of the freeway).
Wilton is only 20 minutes drive to Campbelltown, 30 minutes to Wollongong and the southern beaches and is only 45 minutes drive to Sydney CBD, Kingsford Smith Airport and Port Botany.
